In the spirit of equality, Deaf Yoga Day celebrates and supports Deaf and Hard of Hearing community members in the quest to learn yoga and become certified yoga teachers. For nearly 30 years, yoga has been mainstreamed... but for the signing community, they are just beginning to explore the power of this amazing practice.

By placing a Deaf Yoga Day Benefit Basket at your studio, you will directly support three Deaf yogis in becoming certified Hatha Yoga teachers and help grow DeafYoga Foundation’s* Service Programs.

Donations collected on Deaf Yoga Day will bring the grand total of Deaf yoga teachers in the U.S. to a whopping 15!  Whoo hooo!  :)

It is time that Deaf community members worldwide gain equal access to asana classes, workshops, retreats, conferences and teacher training courses. Let’s be proud advocates of this new movement within the yoga community. Thank you for your willingness to inspire and serve.

What do you do next?
1. Choose a “Benefit Basket Level” (see below)

2. 2.Fill out the “Benefit Basket Listing Form”
   

3. 3.Put out a “Deaf Yoga Day Benefit Basket” at your studio.
   

4. 4.Once DYF receives your listing form, you will receive a Deaf Yoga Day media kit to help you with advertising, announcements and other critical information.

studio collects donations for ONE WEEK  |  May 13 - May 20, 2012

For studios that will put out a Deaf Yoga Day Donation Basket during May 13 - May 20, 2012 encouraging students to donate in support of Deaf Yoga Day. One hundred percent (100%) of all donations collected will go directly to DeafYoga Foundation service programs. Your studio or personal name will appear on the DYD Benefit Basket Location listing page as a Lotus Level Sponsor. You will also be celebrated and featured in our monthly newsletters, website, social media channels and press releases regarding Deaf Yoga Day.

studio or teacher collects donations for ONE DAY  |  Sunday May 20, 2012

For studios or teachers that wish to collect donations during Deaf Yoga Day Sunday May 20, 2012, giving the total donations collected to DeafYoga Foundation. Your studio or personal name will appear on the DYD Benefit Basket Location listing page as a Marigold Level Sponsor. You will also be celebrated in our monthly newsletters, website and social media channels regarding Deaf Yoga Day.
